Mortgage Loan Interview Checklist
When meeting your lender for a real estate loan interview, you’ll want to be prepared. Following is a minimum list of items to bring with you:- Agreement to purchase
- Bank account data: Account details and current balances of all checking and savings accounts
- Current and previous addresses
- Current assets: Individual Retirement Accounts, CDs, mutual fund holdings, etc.
- Employer data: Names, addresses, and phone numbers of your employers for the past couple of years
- Liabilities: Details on student loans, car loans, credit cards, etc.
- Paycheck: Include recent pay stubs
- Personal property: Value of property - can include life insurance, cars, etc.
- Social security number and date of birth
- Tax forms: Original copies of your W-2 for the past two years
Additional items are needed if you have special circumstances – for example, if you are self-employed or divorced. For more information, consult your prospective mortgage lender.
